  • Management Reporting

At Provectus, we are experts in infrastructure management and IT service support.  These tasks are spread out and managed by more than one individual to ensure accountability and reliability.

Managed Services is an evolution of IT services.  IT services started with the break-fix approach.  Simply, when something needed repairs you would call your IT person or group.  And maybe once they resolved the issue they would take steps to prevent it from occurring again.  But often, there would be pressure to keep the cost low on the resolution so the permanent fix would not be addressed.  Leaving the system to break again and additional “low-cost” solutions put in place, which obviously, are no longer low-cost. IT firms relied on things to break to make money but that doesn’t make sense for a business to always have to stop when something breaks.  Then comes Managed Services, a program that puts the onus on the IT firm to ensure systems remain as operational as possible.  With this flat-fee system, there is no limit to the time the IT firm can or will spend to ensure systems remain in good health.  It is in their best interests to avoid issues, put in permanent fixes, and resolve things right the first time.  Spending more time on a broken issue costs them while not billing anything further to the customer.

Managed Services creates a better partnership or relationship between IT Service Provider and Customer.  There is a regular consistent cost to IT support, improved support, and fewer problems.  Fewer problems allows the customer to focus on their business and it allows the IT provider to focus on the future, to bring the value of new innovation to the customer.
